Trans Am
Album reviews
You Can Always Get What You Want
Thrill Jockey (2000)
Ah, Trans Am. The only post-rock band in the world with enough gumption to not only cover Kraftwerk, but to contradict the Stones.
Futureworld
Thrill Jockey (1999)
Although there is definitely some worthwhile material on Futureworld, Trans Am has yet to craft music, or a concept, that holds together over the course of an entire CD.
Who Do We Think You Are?
Spunk (1999)
Ever the quick workers (the band has released an album every year since 1996), Trans Am is likely to overstay its welcome if it continues to pass off material like Who Do We Think You Are? as worthy of release.
The Surveillance
Thrill Jockey/Touch & Go (1998)
With song titles such as "Armed Response," "Prowler" and "Home Security," it's pretty clear hyperactive instrumental trio Trans Am had a spy motif in mind for its third LP The Surveillance.
