Eels leader E (born Mark Oliver Everett) has shown himself to be a talented songwriter and arranger, but Daisies fails to bring anything new to rock's palette.

If nothing else, this CD should prove that even if Dreamworks does bail on the Eels, these artists should have no trouble taking things into their own hands. And let's face it, E's been through a lot worse, and always bounced back.
